The Supreme Court Collegium, at its meeting held on September 10, 2026, approved the proposal for the appointment of three Judicial Officers as Judges of the High Court of Karnataka.
The Collegium has cleared the elevation of Smt. Usharani, Shri K.S. Bharath Kumar, and Smt. Nerale Veerabhadraiah Bhavani to the Karnataka High Court.
The decision forms part of the Collegium’s exercise of considering suitable judicial officers for elevation to the constitutional office of High Court Judge, in accordance with the established appointment procedure.
Following the Collegium’s approval, the recommendations will be processed by the Union Government and the competent constitutional authorities for further action in accordance with law.
The elevation of the three Judicial Officers is expected to strengthen the judicial strength of the Karnataka High Court and facilitate more effective disposal of cases and administration of justice.
